Internships
The Country Partners Cooperative internship program was established to provide opportunities for students interested in the agricultural industry to gain experience in a structured work environment. During their time with us, our interns have the opportunity to explore a variety of jobs and career paths within our cooperative. As they work side-by-side with members of our agronomy, grain, energy and feed teams, we also have the chance to get to know them. In many cases, we will extend a full-time job offer to individuals who are a good fit for the Country Partners culture.
If an internship with Country Partners sounds like a great way to spend your summer, contact our Human Resources Director, Donna Schnackenberg, at 308-537-7141.
We encourage interns to explore all areas of the ag industry, including our agronomy, grain, energy and feed divisions. Some example opportunities in our agronomy division include the following:
- Agronomy Drone Operations Internship – This internship will have you working alongside FAA-certified drone spray pilots as a visual observer, as well as assisting in coordinating the flight process. You will also have the opportunity to learn about precision technologies used in spatial computer mapping, aerial scouting technologies, in-field and Taranis SmartScout® scouting, soil and tissue sampling, agronomy sales and business operations.
- Crop Scout Intern – This internship will be operationally based and will primarily be assisting the local agronomist in their daily activities with in-field scouting, as well as learning plant/company operations.
- Agronomy Sales Internship – This internship will work extensively with the agronomy sales staff and customers in ensuring they are provided the highest level of service and information possible. As a sales intern you will be exposed to many facets of business operations and will have access to hands-on experience.
- Agronomy Operations / Custom Applicator Internship – This internship opportunity will provide the selected students with a hands-on learning experience. The intern will learn by training alongside skilled team members and work independently to develop skills while accomplishing daily tasks throughout the intern period.
