Oil production in the North Dakota Bakken dropped by 21,866 barrels per day in April, production for April was at 1,168,636 barrels per day while in March Production was at 1,190,502 barrels per day.
Natural gas flaring declined in April to 18 percent, while the previous two months flaring had been at 19 percent. However, natural gas production was up despite the lower oil production. April natural gas production was at 1.54 billion cubic feet per day compared to 1.51 billion cubic feet per day in March.
Oil production in North Dakota is expected to remain at about 1.1 million barrels per day or above throughout the rest of 2015. The statewide active drilling rig count on June 12,
