Job Requirements:
Minimum associate’s degree in Sales and Marketing; experience in Sales, Marketing and Energy Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. Current driver’s license or Commercial Driver’s License (Class B with Tanker, Airbrakes and Hazmat endorsements), with company approved driving record.Essential Functions:
- Promotion and sale of energy products to current and new patrons; inclusive of retail, commercial and agricultural producers
- Prepare sales presentations, contracts, bids and proposals to ensure successful outcome of transactions
- Responsible for maintaining and growing the energy department patron base
- Lead role in implementing and administering the energy department software programs
- Inventory management
- Build and implement marketing programs and communication to increase sales and profitability for energy department
- Evaluate current customer programs and help develop marketing plans and programs to meet customer needs while growing the cooperative energy business
- Assist in planning for producer meetings in all Regions of the company
- Assist in training of energy department employee staff
- Collaborate with all Country Partners sales, distributions, and operations teams as well as the technical staff and credit department to heighten the visibility and impact of energy sales calls
- Develop knowledge of multiple energy products and apply this knowledge in all aspects of the position
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Attends and participates in all meetings and schools as directed by supervisor
- Assists with other departments within the cooperative: agronomy, grain, feed, seed, etc.
- Submits reports as required by law and supervisor
- Administers and controls credit within the associations established credit policy
- Maintain all energy department properties (vehicle, computer, cell phone, etc.)
- Maintains a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the Cooperative and a favorable image of the Cooperative
- Provides excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations; respond promptly to customer needs, resolve questions, complaints and concerns immediately and meet commitments
- Effectively communicates by verbal and written means with customers, employees and management
- Maintains and promotes safety awareness; follows safety policies, procedures and reporting requirements
- Presents a clean and professional appearance
- Employees are required to perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor
